Do you need a balanced diet weight to remain healthy? Yes you do. When you are younger you really do seem to be able to get away with eating anything. You can’t expect to remain healthy as you get older if you do not have a balanced diet. Our modern day living and stress makes it so easy for us just to grab something quick without really checking what we are eating.
Before you go shopping make a plan of the food you would ideally like to eat for the week. Try to plan a menu, this will help you purchase the correct foods and also keep you focused and out of the “junk” food section. It also stops impulse purchases and keeps your grocery bill down.
Include these in your diet to help acheive a balanced diet Carbohydrates, Proteins, Fats, Vitamins, Minerals and Salts, Oh and the dreaded Fibre.
It is important that you eat the right amount of each kind of food. I would highly recommend a specialised book regarding intakes. You will be able to find these at all good bookstores or online.
Although it can sometimes take a little longer to prepare a healthy,balanced diet you do get into a routine and it is well worth it.
